Darjeeling is one of the most famous and best teas in the world. They are grown in the Indian province of the same name, to which they were brought by the famous botanist Robert Fortune on the order of the British East India Company from Chinese Yunnan.

Darjeeling teas are recognized as the best of Indian teas and one of the best in the world. Sometimes they are referred to as “mist teas” due to the unique microclimate that prevails at the foot of the Himalayas, or “tea champagne” due to its subtle and exquisite taste.

Darjeeling First Flush is considered the best Darjeeling. It is tea from the first spring harvest, from the Teesta Valley plantation. It gives a delicate infusion with a floral aroma. Its drought is slightly green, which is why some people consider it green tea, although in fact it is classified as 100% black tea.
