ASSAM – black tea 125g

4.54  excl. VAT

Assam is a black tea coming from Indian province with the same name. It’s the biggest tea cultivation region in the world and one of the two regions (second one is the Chinese Yunnan) where tea appears naturally.

Most of teas cultivated in Assam are black teas, however on some farms, traditionally named “tea gardens”, you can also find green and white teas. A typical Assam tea is strong, tart and has a complex aroma of heavy and intense notes, sometimes even a bit “earthy”, but at the same time is slightly sweet.

The variety we offer here has a technical mark TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), which means that the tea has a big amount of “golden tips”, which are the two first tea leaves with buds. TGFOP teas are considered the best teas from Assam and Darjeeling regions.

It’s a one time brew tea. Our recommended brew time is 3-4 minutes in the temperature of 95°C.

Every one of our teas can be bought in an aesthetic can or as a refill in a cellophane bag for a slightly lower price. Both of these options contain 125g of tea. It’s a leaf tea, so you might need a tea brewer »
