PU ERH Premium – red tea 125g

Pu Erh Premium is an excellent 6-year-old tea from gardens located in the Wuliang Mountains, near Pu’er in the Chinese province of Yunnan.

The history of this tea goes back over 1700 years. In the past, only the emperor could drink it, and its production was very small. The excess of the harvest was stored in special caves. It turned out that after several years of aging, tea acquires an exceptionally original taste: it is heavy, earthy and slightly bitter. Today Pu Erha is not stored in caves, but still aged like wine. The oldest Pu Erha (which can still be bought) are up to 50 years old and reach sky-high prices.

Pu Erh is post-fermented and matured tea (in the case of the tea offered by us, it is 6 years), the leaves of which are subjected to the so-called process. non-enzymatic fermentation, which takes place with the participation of special strains of bacteria. Pu-Erh gives a dark and strong infusion with a characteristic earthy and bitter taste and aroma. This tea is also known for its slimming properties.
