Russian Mix is a legendary composition of 3 teas: Indian Assam, Chinese Yunnan and a very unusual Lapsang Souchong. Lapsang Souchong is a black tea, which leaves are smoke-dried with the use of pinewood. Thanks to that, the tea has a delicate smoked aroma and taste.

The legend says, that this composition comes from the times, when tea was transported from China to Russia (mainly to Saints Petersburg) with camel or horse caravans. Traders bougth their tea from Chinese Yunnan province, Indian Assam and then travelled a long way to Russia. During their breaks, their transport of tea was “smoked” by their campfires. The leaves were later used by rich Russians in their “smoked” state and they really loved it. If you actually try to brew this kind of tea in a beatiful silver samovar, you can actually feel like you are in the tsarist Russia.

P.S. Of course you don’t need samovar to brew this tea.

Every one of our teas can be bought in an aesthetic can or as a refill in a cellophane bag for a slightly lower price. Both of these options contain 125g of tea. It’s a leaf tea, so you might need a tea brewer »
