Nicaragua Finca El Limoncillo

This coffee comes from a farm owned by the Mierisch family, one of the oldest and most renowned coffee-growing families in Nicaragua and Honduras, with 9 farms across these countries.
El Limoncillo was established in 1908 and enjoys an excellent reputation. Its coffees are frequently awarded — Finca coffee has twice won the Cup of Excellence, often referred to as the coffee world’s Oscar.
The farm is quite large, covering 170 hectares, but coffee trees are cultivated there using traditional methods. The cherries are hand-picked and then processed at the Don Esteban processing station, which is also highly regarded and UTZ-certified for working with organic coffees.
Finca El Limoncillo is a full-flavoured coffee with notes of milk chocolate. It has very low acidity and natural sweetness. It works beautifully as black coffee, but also pairs very well with milk.
