Grinding coffee is the last thing to do before brewing. Grinding level you choose should suit the way you make your coffee (e.g. for coffee machines you need finely ground coffee), but it’s worth to remember that fresh ground coffee will taste much better.
Good to know
General rule is that the longer ground coffee particles are in touch with water, the bigger they should be. Coffee used for espresso, which brews quick, should be finely ground (around 0,2mm per single particle) and for coffee brewed in a jug, dripper or AeroPress – coarsely ground.
If you don’t have a grinder (maybe you want to buy it?) or you just don’t like to grind it yourself – it’s not a problem, we can grind your coffee for free (you can choose your coffee grinding level with every purchase), but we encourage you to grind your coffee yourself right before brewing.
Get 100% aroma from ground coffee
If you are buying ground coffee, the most important thing is to use the correct type of grinding for each brewing method. Below you can find grinding levels we offer at our roastery:
- Fine – for espresso machines.
- Medium – for percolators, aeropresses and filters.
- Coarse – for jugs and French presses.
- Whole bean – “grind it yourself!”. If you have a coffee grinder or coffee maker with built-in grinder, this will be the best choice.
